Trim geometry – Lesson 4 – Alphacam Router Tutorial

On the right part of the drawing we will use the Trim command. Select the Trim command from the Edit tab. In the first step, you need to indicate the geometry that will be the limits for cutting the other geometry. Let’s assume that first we want to remove a part of the rectangle’s side lying inside the circle. So as the cutting geometry, the geometry that will be the boundary to crop another geometry, we point the circle.

Accept the selection by right-clicking and then we have to indicate the geometry we want to cut. We want to cut the fragment of the rectangle’s side lying inside the circle. So let’s click on this geometry.

And after that you will get:

Now we will remove the part of the circle outside the rectangle. Again, select the Trim command, but this time, as the cutting geometry, select the upper and lower part of the rectangle.

Accept the selection and point the right part of the circle as the geometry to be cut.

Exit the command by right-clicking.
